Announcing PHPOOB (Long name: Hypertext Preprocessor Object Orientated Blog; pronounced "foob").

PHPOOB is the public release of the Dan Blog code, but has been revamped, improved, has more features and is also free.

The PHPOOB site is under construction itself, and the code is currently still being checked, edited and in some cases completely rewritten.

As you might guess from the name the blog uses PHP and also MySQL. The code it generates is W3C valid and it is incredibly easy to make templates for without the need for tables.

I will keep you posted here and on the PHPOOB web site about it's progress. I will also be looking for beta testers to make sure I haven't made any mistakes, everything works and I haven't forgotten everything. If you're interested drop me an e-mail at dan[at]dan-blog[dot]com.

I have no official release date for you yet, but expect an early release sometime in August.
